BLACK HEADED DORPERS
________________________________ We have been looking at the Black Headed Dorpers for several years and have struggled to obtain any.
We have now purchased a dispersal flock from Scotland with original imported bloodlines with some New Zealand and Australian genetics from embryo transfers.
In December we imported 28 ewe lambs and ram lamb from Germany to add to our genetics as we have found that there are very few Black Headed Dorper families in the U.K. |
________________________________
Black Headed Dorpers generally have self shedding fleeces. They are strong sheep which are able to gain weight without feeding concentrates.
The fleeces shed around the tail and under their stomachs showing the naturally fleshing carcase. |
